An eviction crisis?
The pandemic brought a new wave of evictions- and some welcomed relief in the form of a national eviction moratorium. But the assistance was not without controversy. Landlords decried the loss of income while many tenants said the measures didn’t go far enough.
I assigned and edited several pieces on the evolution of the eviction crisis in North Carolina. I also maintained an FAQ for landlords and tenants facing eviction. As a representative to the Charlotte Journalism Collaborative, I shared ideas about the housing crisis, especially in the Charlotte area, with journalists from across the region.
